Straight answers
What we actually do
- We are not a lender.
- Approved First Nations collects your application and connects you with financing partners through Go Kia Richmond, part of the Go Auto network. The lender sets the approval, the rate, and the term.
- Submitting your application authorizes a credit check.
- When you submit, you consent to Go Kia Richmond and its financing partners obtaining your credit report to assess your financing options — see our Terms of Use for the details.
- There is no minimum income and no credit cutoff.
- Every completed application is reviewed. Past bankruptcy, consumer proposal, collections, repossession, self-employment, and no Canadian credit history are all situations we work with.
- We do not publish ratings or review counts.
- We would rather show you real customer stories once we have permission to share them than invent numbers.
- Status income, on-reserve residency, and band employment don't disqualify you.
- We accept applications from Status and non-Status Indigenous customers, whether you live on-reserve or off, employed by a band or elsewhere. Every completed application is reviewed the same way.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
- Submitting the application constitutes your consent for Go Kia Richmond and its financing partners to obtain your credit report to assess your financing options, as described in our Terms of Use. That information is used only to review your options and match you with a lender.
- We work with all credit situations, including past bankruptcy, consumer proposal, collections, repossession, and no credit history at all. We specialize in tough-credit approvals. We can't promise an outcome — approval and terms are always set by the lender — but no credit history disqualifies you from applying.
- About two minutes. It's a short list of questions, one per screen, and you can go back and change any answer before you submit.
- No. We accept applications from people who are employed, self-employed, retired, on long-term disability, or receiving other forms of income. There is no minimum income required to apply.
- All of British Columbia, including Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, Langley, Abbotsford, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops, and Prince George.
- No. Approved First Nations is not a lender. We connect BC applicants with financing partners through Go Kia Richmond, part of the Go Auto network. Approval decisions, interest rates, and terms are set by the lender, not by us.
- Nothing to upload. The form asks for your vehicle type, monthly budget, postal code, employment and income range, housing situation, name, date of birth, address, email, phone number, and the time of day you prefer to be reached. No documents are required to start.
- Someone from our team calls you, usually the same business day, to go through your options. That's why the last screen says "Answer your phone!" — the call is the next step.
- Yes. Status income, band employment, income from an on-reserve employer, and other benefits income are all accepted the same as any other income source. Tell us about your situation when you apply — we look at your full picture, not just one number.
- Yes. Wherever you live in British Columbia — on-reserve or off — the application and the follow-up call work exactly the same. You don't need to come to Richmond to start; the first conversation happens over the phone.
- Eligible Status customers may qualify for a GST/PST exemption on a vehicle purchase in certain situations. Tax rules depend on your specific circumstances, so this isn't something we can confirm online — ask us about your situation when we call, and we'll walk through what applies to you.
